The Match

The mat is 10ft. by 10ft. with an inner circle of 10 inches in diameter and an outer circle of varying size.. The circle is the boundary the wrestlers can wrestle in. The wrestlers are required to wear a suit called a singlet. They are also required to wear ear protection (head gear) and wrestling shoes. Now the wrestlers are required to tape the shoe laces so they do not come untied. There are three rounds each two minutes long, and in case of a draw there is a one minute overtime (first one to score a point wins). The first round the wrestlers face off standing (called neutral) to begin the round. At the beginning of the second round a coin flip determines who chooses the position to start including neutral, top, or bottom, or he can choose to defer, to let him choose the third round. During the match wrestlers are given points by a referee.
